A wider range of services and automated systems has increased the demand for electricity on board ships. MAN Diesel supplies engines, complete generating sets and electrical equipment for Diesel-electric propulsion to secure reliable and economical power generation and distribution.

Modern auxiliary engines are run on the same high-viscosity fuel grades as the main engines to maximise economy. Overall installation costs can be minimised by using compact modular fuel treatment systems, available in standard sizes.

The MAN Diesel Offshore and Marine GenSet Programme is presented in the IMO Tier I Marine Engine Programme as well as the IMO Tier II Marine Engine Programme.
